I picked up on that comment made by the Minister of Native Affairs the day it was made in the House of Commons. Nice to see that those who knew about their family history can attempt to close the door on the rest of us who recently learned of our family history that was denied from us. If Ottawa decides to change it’s rules on those who qualify for status the 70,000 of us denied should rally to erase status from all members, including those who label themselves as “Original Members”.
